Palak Dal/ Palak Pappu

Serves – 3
.
Ingredients๐Ÿง„๐Ÿง„๐ŸŒฐ๐ŸŒฐ
1- 150 Gms Spinach finely chopped
2- 5 Garlic cloves finely Chopped
3- 1 Big onion finely chopped
4- 2TSP tamaraind pulp
5 – 2 dried red chillies
6- Curry leaves
7- 1TSP mustard seeds
8- 1 TSP chana dal
9- Ginger finely chopped
10 – 20 Gms toor dal
11- 1 TSP garam masala
12- 1 TSP red chilly powder
13- Salt as per taste

Method๐Ÿฅ˜๐Ÿฅ˜๐Ÿฅ˜

1- Pressure cook toor dal with turmeric and salt for 4 whistles on a medium flame.
2- Heat a pan and add 2 TSP ghee.
3- Add mustard seeds, chana dal, dried red chilly , garlic, ginger, curry leaves and saute for 3 mins.
4- Add onions and cook for 3 mins.
4- Add spinach and stir it on a high flame for 3 mins.
5 – Cover it with a lid and let it cook for 2 mins
6- Add turmeric , salt , garam masala , red chilly and give a nice mix and keep stirring for 30 and add turmeric pulp now.
7- Add toor dal and mix again๐Ÿ˜Š .
8- Cover it with a lid and cook for 5-6 mins on low flame. Keep stirring in between.

Serve it hot with rice and gheeโค๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

You can add another batch of tadka if you wish too with curry leaves and cumin seeds๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
