Shahi Paneer Recipe – How to make shahi paneer.

One of the most ordered paneer dish in India and enjoyed by everyone. this dish is prepared by emulsifying tomatoes, onions, ground cashews, clarified butter and cream into a curry, with the addition of paneer cubes and a variety of spices.It is mainly eaten with traditional Indian flat-breads like Naan or Tandoori roti and can also be eaten with rice. This is one of my favourite paneer dishes and i love to cook this. You can check the recipe below and make this for yourself and your loved ones.

Ingredients to make Shahi Paneer
250 gms fresh cottage cheese
2 Medium sized onions
5 medium sized red tomatoes
Ginger
5-7 garlic cloves
2 bay leaf
4 green Cardamom
3 cloves
1 cinamon stick
1/2 tsp garam masala
Kashmiri Red chilly Powder
Salt
Sugar
Butter
Oil
Ginger garlic paste
Dry fenugreek leaves
Fresh Cream
12-14 cashews

Method to make Shahi Paneer
1- In a pan add roughly chopped onions , roughly chopped tomatoes , all the whole spices , 1 tsp salt , 2 tsp sugar , 2 tsp kashmiri red chilly powder , 1/2 tsp garam masala , cashews , ginger 1 inch , 4-5 garlic, 4 tsp butter.
2- Light the stove and mix all the ingredients until butter melts or for 1-2 minutes on a medium flame. Once mixed well add 250 ml water, cover with a lid and cook until tomatoes are nice and soft.
3- Cool the mixture completely.
4- Grind the mixture with half cup water and make a fine paste.
5- Use a strainer and strain the mixture in a bowl completely
6- Now heat the same pan and add 2 tsp butter and 1 tsp oil.
7- Add 2 tsp ginger garlic paste and 2 tsp kashmiri chilly powder. Cook until ginger garlic paste raw smell goes off.
8- Reduce the flame and add tomato and onion mixture. Mix it well, cover with a lid and let it cook for 5-6 minutes on a low flame.
9- Add paneer cubes in the sauce and give a gentle stir and cook for 5 minutes
10- Add 3 tsp fresh cream and mix it.
11 – Off the flame and add fry fenugreek leaves and mix.
12- Garnish it with some fresh cream and serve it hot with Naan, Chapati or jeera rice.
