Vermicelly Upma Recipe

Vermicelly upma is an Indian breakfast, cooked with green veggies and peanuts. It is rich in Dietary fibers, makes your digestive system clean, also it will improve the overall health. Please follow the recipe to make this healthy delight.

Ingredients to make Vermicelly Upma..
2 cups vermicelly
1 Onion
Green peas
Curry leaves
Mustard seeds
Red chilly

Method to male vermicelly Upma
1- In a pan add 1 tsp oil and roast the vermicelly. Once roasted take it out in a plate to cool down.
2- In a bowl boil 4-5 cups water with 1 tsp salt.
3- Add roasted vermicelly and boil it for 6-7 minutes. Once done strain the vermicelly.
4- In a separate pan heat 3-4 tsp oil , add 1 tsp mustard seeds ,4-5 curry leaves , 2 dried red chilly and let it crackle.
5- Now add handful of peanuts and cook until light brown.
6- Add 1 onion finely chopped and cook until light brown.
7- Add carrots finely chopped , french beans finely chopped , green peas. Cook it all for 3-4 minutes
8- Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and salt as per taste and cook the veggies together for 2 minutes.
9- Add boiled vermicelly and mix it gently until combined.
10- Serve it hot!
