Fish Curry in a tamarind sauce.

Ingredients to make Fish curry in tamarind sauce.

500 gms surmai fish
whole Red chillies
Green Chillies
Curry Leaves
3 onions
2 Tomato
Fenugreek seeds
Mustard seeds
Ginger
Garlic Cloves
Red chilly powder
Tumeric powder
Salt
Garam Masala
Tamarind Pulp

Method to make fish curry in tamarind sauce.
1- Heat a kadhai and add 9-10 tsp oil
2-Grind 3 onions , 2 tomatoes with ginger and gralic to make a paste
2- Add 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds, 2 tsp mustard seed, 4 red chilly leaves , 1 green chilly and 15 curry leaves. Let it crackle well.
3- Add onion and tomato paste.
4- Add salt as per taste , 2 tsp red chilly powder , 2 tsp garam masala , 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and cook the masala well.
5- Add 3 cups water and fresh tamarind paste. Cook it well until oil is released.
6- Add fish, cover with a lid and let it cook for 7-8 minutes on a medium flame.
7- Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it hot with rice.
