Gajar ka Halwa Recipe – How to Make gajar ka halwa.

Its the time for carrots and i love to eat this veggie in almost every possible dish, be it Soups , curries , pulao , dessert ,tempering and pickles . My favourite dish with this vegetable is Gajar ka halwa which i make with only with Milk , sugar , ghee and carorts. Its also made with khoya but i personally dont like to add khoya in this dish. It is best enjoyed hot during the winters. Lets relish this amazing dessert and check the recipe below.

Important tip – Please cook this dish on a low flame all the time.

Ingredients to make Gajar ka Halwa.
Carrots 2 kg
Full cream milk 1 litre
Ghee 4-5 tsp
Sugar 1/2 kg
Dry fruits as per your choice

Method to make Gajar ka Halwa.
1- Peel the carrots and grate it well.
2- Heat a kadhai and add 4 tsp ghee
3- Add grated carrots and cook for 8-10 mins on a low flame.
4- Once carrot is little cooked add 1 litre full cream milk and stir it well. Cover for 10 mins and cook it well on a low flame until milk combines well with carrots.
5- Once milk gets absorbed with carrot add 1/2 kg sugar and mix it nicely on a low flame until sugar is completely dissolved.
6- Let it cook on a low flame until ghee is released from the halwa.
7- Once done garnish with dry fruits of your choice and serve it hot.
