This dish is made with chicken that gets marinated with Indian spices, curd and lemon spicy curry and cooked with tomatoes, spices, and fresh cream.

Ingredients to make Chicken Tikka Masala
500 gms chicken breast
2 medium onions finely chopped
2 medium tomatoes finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste
Kashmiri red chilly powder
Dry fenugreek leaves
Method to make Chicken tikka masala
1- In a bowl add 3 tsp mustard oil and 2 tsp kashmiri chilly powder. Mix it well for 1 minute.
2- Now add 5 tsp hung curd , 1 tsp garam masala, 1/2 tsp coriander powder , 1 tsp lemon juice , pinch of turmeric , dry fenugreek leaves and 1/2 tsp salt. Mix it all well and keep the marination in the fridge for at least 1 hr.
3- Heat a pan and add oil.
4- Place the chicken in skewers or directly put the pieces in pan and cook on each side for 5 minutes on a medium flame.
5- In a separate pan heat 3 tsp oil.
6- Add finely chopped onions and cook for 1 minute , add ginger garlic paste and cook until raw smell of paste goes off. Add tomato and add 1 tsp salt.
7- Cook it for 5-6 minutes, until tomatoes becomes soft and mushy.
8- Cool the mixture and later grind it with 3 tsp water.
9- Heat 2 tsp butter in the same pan and add 3 tsp kashmiri red chilly powder.
10- Add the tomato onion puree and mix it well.
12- Add 1 tsp coriander powder , a pinch of turmeric , salt , 2 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp dry fenugreek leaves and 1 cup water. Cover with a lid and cook for 15 minutes on a low flame. Please keep stirring in between.
13- Add 5 tsp fresh cream and mix it nicely.
14- Add the chicken tikkas, give a nice mix and cover with a lid. Let it cook until oil separates.
15- Serve it hot with chapati or Naan.
