Pav Bhaji is an iconic dish from Mumbai and its available all over India. You will find lots of street vendors and famous restaurants selling this dish. Its also made and cooked with different ingredients, but i like the simple one with veggies and butter. This is my simple recipe made with basic ingredients and taste is top notch.

Cooking time – 40 Minutes
Serves – 3
Type – Street Food
2- Peas 20 gms.
3- 2 onions finely chopped
3- 2 Big potatoes finely chopped
4- 1 Carrot finely chopped
5- 4 Medium size tomatoes finely sliced
6- Ginger garlic paste
7- Ginger finely chopped
8- Cumin seeds
9- Kashmiri red chilly powder
10- Garam masala
11- Pao Bhaji Masala
13- Salt as per taste
14 – 1 Capsicum
1- In a pan add , potato, green peas , carrots, tomatoes and salt. Add 300 ml water and boil the veggies for 20 minutes.
2- Once completely boiled, mash the veggies with a masher.
3- Take out the boiled veggies in a bowl.
4- In the same pan add 60 gms butter, cumin seeds, onions, chopped ginger , 4 tsp kashmiri red chilly powder, 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp pao bhaji masala. Mix it all together and let it cook for 2 mins on a medium flame.
5- Add finely chopped capsicum, and give a nice stir.
6- Add the boiled veggies and mix it all until well incorporated.
7- Add 2 cups water now, and 2-3 cubes of butter. Pls check the salt now and add if its less.
8- Cover with a lid and let bhaji bubble nicely for 10 mins. Keep stirring in between.
9- Garnish with coriander leaves.
1- Cut the pao in between and apply butter generously on both the sides.
2- Cook it on a hot pan on both the sides.
Note – Add onions, lemon juice and the hero of this dish butter to have the great taste.
