Serves – 3
1- 250 gms chicken
2- Rice 1.5 cup
3- 1 Big onion finely sliced
4- 1 big tomato finely sliced
5- 3 Cloves , 3 green cardamon, 1 cinamon stick , cumin seeds, 5 black peppercon , 1 bay leaf
6- Fresh coriander, mint leaves, green chilly.
7- coriander powder , garam masala , turmeric powder , red chilly powder , kashmiri lal mirch, dry fenugreek leaves
8- Ginger garlic paste.
1- First marinate the chicken with turmeric , salt , red chilly powder , kashmiri lal mirch , garam masala , coriander powder and curd. Let it rest for atleast 1 hr.
2- Wash basmati rice and soak it for 30 mins.
3- Heat a pressure cooker, add oil.
4- Add all the whole spices and cook for 30 seconds.
5- Add onion and cook for 5-6 mins until brown and soft.
6- Add ginger garlic paste ,tomatoes and mix it well.
7- Add salt to cook the tomatoes well.
8- Add the marinated chicken and cook for 8 mins on a medium flame.
9- Add 3 cups water and bring it to a boil. Now add rice and stir it.
10- Add dry fenugreek leaves,slit green chilly, chopped coriander and mint.
11- Close the cooker with a lid and pressure cook for 1 whistle on a medium flame.
12- Turn off the gas and let the cooker depressurize naturally.
